From Woodworking Roots to Laser Innovation
Welcome to Maker Toybox. My name is Tedric (Ted), and for more than 30 years I’ve had the privilege of working with wood, tools, and materials to create things that are meant to be used, kept, and appreciated.
Over the years, the shop name has changed, but the heart of the work has not. My goal has always been the same: to craft high-quality, purposeful items that bring real value to the people who receive them.
Today, Maker Toybox focuses on CNC-cut and laser-engraved gifts, décor, and keepsakes. These modern tools allow for precision, consistency, and customization, while still honoring the principles of traditional craftsmanship — thoughtful design, respect for materials, and attention to detail. Whenever possible, we also support fellow small businesses through B2B sourcing and partnerships.
Whether you’re looking for a personalized gift, a meaningful keepsake, or a custom décor piece, everything here is made with care and intention. I want each item that leaves the shop to feel considered — not mass-produced, rushed, or disposable.
The thinking behind this work extends beyond the shop as well.
For those interested in how things are designed, repaired, and built to last, there is a separate, non-commercial idea site called The Makers’ Movement — a quiet place to explore craftsmanship, repair, and making with purpose.
You can explore it at themakersmovement.org.
Thank you for supporting Maker Toybox and for being part of this creative journey.
