Making Magic Happen etsy shop is a family owned business ran by the husband and wife team of Matt and Alicia Larkey. It was opened in the late summer of 2019. The concept was a dream of Matt's, who ran his own youth baseball team that his son was on for many years. He designed the uniforms and several other team items himself. As he struggled to find a shop that could recreate his visions while also providing quality products at affordable prices, he wondered if he could learn how to do it himself. Being happily married for over 20 years and a dad of three awesome kids, he knew he could figure out how to make it happen. Out of that need for quality items at affordable pricing AND mixed with his family's love of all things Disney, he taught himself which equipment he needed to make enjoyable, lasting shirt designs and so began this Etsy shop.
Alicia built her own professional photography business, Make It Happen Photography, which included Disney Fairytale Weddings and in-park Disney photo shoots for families, engaged couples, and senior portraits. Her Disney themed business was already named Making Magic Happen (which you can find on Instagram @making.magic.happen) thus the name of this Disney inspired apparel shop was born. Alicia & Matt are both professional photographers as a husband and wife time who shoot weddings, seniors, and families... both destination and locally based in Arizona.
Being die-hard Disney fans and an official Disney Fairytale bride and groom who were married at the Disney Wedding Pavilion long ago, we love finding unique Disney shirts, masks, bracelets and hats to create and wear to the parks. Etsy is such a large, welcoming community of talented, creative people who put their heart and soul in to every item they make. We are so grateful we found our perfect home for these designs and have a whole new appreciation for being on the 'maker' side of things.
