My style is a mix of surrealism and impressionism. I use photos as references, but my paintings, while slightly realistic, never are fully, and there is always some imperfection to each work of art. After suffering years of depression and anxiety, I was always too afraid to show my work to anyone, let alone offer it for sale. As I have over come my fears of "not being good enough," I still paint for myself, but now I want to share my work. Painting is one of the few things I can do for hours on end and not ever get bored or tired; however, things changed since I had my son, Daniel, and now I only get to paint when I'm not taking care of him, or our home, or work, etc. Someday I hope to make my art a full time career. It would be a dream come true.
Oh, I also love love LOVE Malibu, CA, and hope someday to have a cute little beach house there- and that's where Malibu, in Malibu Traci Art, came from.
