I love this! This painting has such an amazingly delicate and beautiful look. Malissa was great to work with - I've had it favorited for awhile and am so excited to finally own it! Shipping was very fast as well.

Loving the process...

When I think about process, I think about journeying. Where will a project, a day, or an idea take you? How much does it matter that you know the answer before you begin?

On an intimate scale, watercolor for me is a little leap into the journey. I use it as my primary medium in painting because it is so versatile and sensitive to the hand, and gives me a constant opportunity to improvise.

I opened my online store with a similar spirit of leaping into the process. It’s proved to be an amazing way to connect with an extended, supportive creative community, and to share my work with all kinds of people from many parts of the world.

A brief bit about my path...
I earned my BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in the early 1990s. I’ve continued to paint since then, and have held a fairly wonderful variety of art and garden related day-jobs along the way. Over the past few years, I’ve been focused primarily on watercolor painting, and have slowly fallen in love with its method. I now live and paint in Athens, GA, alongside my wonderful artist & musician husband, and our completely beloved canines.
