As a homesteading, homeschooling Mama I have had to learn to be resourceful with all that I have. I remember years ago getting my daughters Easter dress' and going to church only to see five other girls wearing the exact same dress. They all looked beautiful I must say however my girls did not feel as special as they hoped. That inspired me to start making my own patterns for their dresses creating one of a kind looks. I remember saving every bit of scraps for a rainy day.
Well those rainy days came like a hurricane and we could no longer afford to go to the fabric store; let alone restaurants, subscriptions, and even worse coffee trips! YIKES. My scrap container soon became a treasure box full of inspiration and hope. That is what inspired me to do patchwork quilts. It takes a special ability to take scraps, thrift items, and fabric on sale to turn into a beautiful piece of art. These patchwork aprons and other fun items can help all of us afford the joys of patchwork!

Apron: never thought I'd photograph anything for a review, but this apron merits it! No other apron in my little collection is like this. Real patchwork makes up the entire apron (not just a decorative portion). Every fabric is richly colored, enchantingly patterned. Thoughtful, instinctive creativity is obvious in the placement of each piece and how the hues/prints contrast with/complement each other. It's a fantastic weight: not too flimsy-light, not too heavy, but pleasantly luxurious. The apron is SO elegantly crafted and exquisite that it's like something to wear for going out! It's STUNNING, and I'm so happy and grateful to have discovered Kierra's work.

5 out of 5 starsThis is so cute and very flattering even for a larger girl like myself. I absolutely love the pocket and I think it’s reversible even though it’s not advised as such. It’s such great material and will definitely last.
