Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

Agave Plant Fiber

Agave is naturally stain resistant but may slightly absorb natural dyes such as from wine or raspberries. Spot treat the stain with water or a mild soap, using a toothbrush, or other gentle brush. For periodic whole mochila cleaning, submerge the mochila in about 2 gallons of water and 1/4 cup lemon juice. Leave the mochila in the solution for about 12 hours, preferably in a warm and sunny space. Rinse the mochila with cold water and hang to dry in its original shape. Please note, the colors of your mochila will darken when wet and return to original shades when dry. When wet, the fibers will also harden but return to original texture when dry. Do not dry clean or machine wash.

Returns and Exchanges

Craft Tradition in Mind

Returns and exchanges are accepted only if we did not ship the order correctly. A mochila's energy is dedicated to the person who wears it. Once received from artisans, our mochilas are never worn or displayed and are stored properly to prevent the loss of this energy, channeled by the creator.

We are committed to your experience with this sacred craft tradition. Please review our size guide to ensure the best fit. We are happy to answer all your questions, provide additional measurements or photos prior to purchase.
