MangoMelons
Sewing is what I do! I grew up sewing. If I needed a new skirt, I made it. If the hem in my pants was coming undone, I fixed it. Broken zipper or a button came off, well, you know. I've sewn most of my life! I've worked in a fabric store, an upholstery shop, outfitted a boat with new curtains & upholstery, formal wear, tailored pants, clothing alterations, seamstress for others, and much more. I enjoy designing and I love constructing. I truly love sewing.
I've specialized in many things over they years, but surgical scrub hats have become my focus. With many family members in healthcare professions (including my husband), surgical scrub hats are worn almost daily. I strive to create a unique, comfortable and great fitting scrub hat to brighten the room with fun patterns and designs. It helps that they are washable and reusable to help save our planet from the many disposable products we use.
My shop location has changed states four times. Wisconsin, Washington, New York, Arizona and now Utah. Moving with my husbands education/career has been a long journey. Being able to work from home with my 5 kids is the perfect career for me at this stage in my life. I have a dedicated sewing studio for my Mangomelons caps.
Each item I sew is done with care. I imagine I know the person I'm sewing for and want it to be perfect.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my shop and learn a little more about me :)
