Hello, I'm Marsha, and I'm so glad you're here.
Markets of Sunshine began with an unexpected twist in my life. After being diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2004, I needed something positive to focus on—something that would bring joy instead of worry. What started as a creative outlet soon became a passion, and eventually grew into the business you see today.
For nearly two decades, I've been creating thoughtfully curated handmade collections designed to inspire quiet moments of creativity. My hope is that every package feels like opening a little gift—one that invites you to slow down, create, and enjoy the journey.
Over the years, my creative path has taken me places I never imagined. My work has been featured by MaryJanesFarm, Crafting Rebellion, and on television through Shabby Lane Shops. I had the privilege of serving as Captain of an Etsy Team, where I brought together talented handmade artists to create a monthly Gift of the Month Club. Together we published a collaborative book, introduced our handmade work at craft shows and retail shops, and even participated in celebrity gifting lounges. Looking back, it's amazing to see where a simple decision to keep creating has led.
While those experiences were exciting, the greatest blessing has always been the relationships I've built with customers over the years. Many of you have been creating alongside me for years, and I never take your support for granted.
Today, Markets of Sunshine reflects everything I love—beautiful fabrics, vintage treasures, slow stitching, storytelling, and thoughtfully curated collections that encourage creativity and bring comfort. Some of my special collections even include vintage Storybook Companions from my personal Ty collection, adding a little extra nostalgia and delight to the creative experience.
My faith has taught me to look for the good each day, and I hope that spirit of peace, gratitude, and encouragement is reflected in everything I create and send from my studio.
