Frequently asked questions

Do these outlines cover the topics tested on the FL section of the bar?

Yes! Based on the test specifications on the FBBE website, these outlines closely follow the tested subjects listed online.

Will these outlines guarantee my passing the FL bar exam?

I absolutely cannot guarantee that. While I hope these outlines serve as a benefit to your studies, I cannot foresee your success in passing. It’s up to you how you utilize these outlines which are your primary (or secondary) tools. Your job is to know what to look for no matter what subject is tested on game day.

Do you have outlines for the MBE?

At this time, I do not. There are plenty of MBE resources available online for you to check out. I chose not to create outlines for the MBE for right now because the resources are limitless. However, it will be considered a possibility in the future if necessary.

Do you offer one-on-one tutoring?

I do not—I only provide resources. However, if you are in need of a tutor, please shoot me a message and I’ll recommend a couple.

** While I am not a tutor, I can provide assistance in putting together a solid essay response at no additional cost. If you are interested, please contact me and we can work out a schedule.

How do I use “Inclusive” and “Capsule” FL essay outlines?

The inclusive outlines are very detailed. Your goal is to study to understand (not just memorize) the information provided for you. My recommendation is to look at the outlines first before doing practice essays (either timed or not timed). After each essay, look at your responses and see how many issues you were able to discuss. Upon reviewing the sample responses, if you are missing issues from your essay(s), review and re-study the inclusive essay outline(s) again and do another essay. Then repeat until you are comfortable and doing better than average.

At the end or closer to exam time when you feel you have a strong grasp of the subjects, rely on the capsule outlines ONLY as a refresher.

Do you have any essay predictions/predict essay subjects for Part A of the exam?

Respectfully, NO.
I don’t predict essay topics and avoid doing so for a few good reasons:

1. I’m not Phoebe Halliwell.

2. Personally, I never liked to hype myself up and increase my anxiety or anyone else’s anxiety by doing this.

3. The FL section of the bar is very, VERY unpredictable—thus, I refuse to gamble on subjects that may or may not show up.

4. The last thing you want is a bad surprise (a least likely subject that appears like an old ex you’re hoping not to see) that will harm your scaled score.

My biggest piece of advice when sitting for the FL Bar Exam is NOT to rely on said predictions.

In addition, equalize your weight in ALL subjects!

I’m a repeat taker. My scores for the multiple choice were fine, but my essay performance wasn’t great. What should I do?

If essays were your problem, request a copy of your essays immediately and seek feedback.

Ask yourself the following questions:

1. Did I organize my responses so it’s easy to follow? If you haven’t, I have included an additional essay template (with instructions) in my essay outline bundle.

2. Did I get most of the issues they were looking for? If you didn’t, the essay bundle covers all the tested topics and subtopics provided on the FBBE website.

3. Was my analysis not strong enough? If not, take a look at the released sample essay responses (a handful of them aren’t great, but some are very good.).

4. Did I understand the topics tested? If not, you should study the outlines to UNDERSTAND not just to memorize.

There aren’t enough/any outlines for the FL MCQ available online. What can I use?

On Reddit, online users do sell convisers that include the topics tested on the multiple choice. However, if you want outlines that are less than 50 pages per subject, it’s available in my shop as a bundle or for individual purchase. The information may look overwhelming but only because they are from the statutes (cited btw) and follow the test specifications listed on the FBBE website. Questions do come from the statutes so it’s better to know and understand it to do just above average.

Why are your inclusive outlines lengthy and not short and sweet?

I’m detail-oriented. I want you to succeed by knowing what the FL bar is looking for based on the list of topics available online. Think of it this way: here is a grocery list of items the FBBE hands you. They say, “We want you to make an apple pie.” From that grocery list, what items do you need? Apples, crust, sugar, cinnamon, salt, etc. Now that you have everything off that list and (carefully) make your apple pie, it’s ready to be served. The FBBE has no excuse but to give you a thumbs up. Why? Because you gave them what they’re looking for from that list they handed you. How can you make a tasty apple pie if the list only has 3 items? See where I’m going with this?

That’s why the outlines are lengthy.

Will you be adding more items?

Yes! I’m always looking to grow the business so please keep a lookout for new items that will be available for purchase. It may take time, but it will get done!
