Welcome to my shop. I am an artist who lives on the California side of the Colorado River, right on Lake Havasu. I create pottery and olive oil soap. My pottery consists of a variety of items: teapots, covered vessels, bowls, whistles, soap dishes,etc... I use hand-building techniques such as coil & slab construction. Each piece is a unique one-of-a-kind labor of love. No two are alike. There's something so satisfying about creating something beautiful and lasting from clay, which is essentially old mud.

My etsy soap site: www.etsy.com/shop/MartisSoap

My soap is made from olive oil. It is created in small batches in my own kitchen and cut by hand. Visit my soap website at: www.martissoap.com
You can learn about the process of making soap, see a gallery of the process, or print my brochure.

I want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase and receive it safely. I package all pottery goods very carefully. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.

I love my soap dish! It was bigger than I thought from the picture which was actually better for me. Marti kindly combined the shipping and threw in a free soap sample which was almost too big for a sample. :) I feel happy every time I wash my hands!

About

Marti's Pottery

It's incredibly rewarding to create something out of nothing. I play with mud, and from it create beauty. I have used a potter's wheel, but prefer to hand-build each item I create. The inperfections, fingerprints, nail marks, and off-round shapes are what make an artist's work personal and unique. Each item is created using mostly slab or coil construction. There's something so cathartic about getting your hands dirty and playing with clay all day!

Accepted payment methods

  • Money Order
Payment
Payment is due within 3 days of purchase.

If paying via money order, I will hold your item for 10 days. If at that time I have not received payment, the sale will be void.
Shipping
Because most of my items are breakable, I use priority mail. Priority is shipped by air and, in my opinion, has less chance of being knocked around. You should receive your item within 3-5 business days. If you would like upgraded shipping, please contact me and we'll work out the price. I do not send parcel or media. My items are always bubble wrapped and boxed. Large pottery items are packaged box-in-box with bubble wrap & packing peanuts.

*As far as combined shipping, the price will reflect the size and weight of the items. I will calculate shipping charges for each combined order.
Refunds and Exchanges
I must be notified about returns or damage within 7 days of receiving the item. If, for some reason, the postal service has played kick ball with your item and it arrives broken... I will be heartbroken, of course, but will issue a refund or replace it with a similar item. I will need to see photos of the broken item, or it can be sent back to me at your cost. If you are not satisfied with the item for some reason, I will issue a full refund of the item or replace it with a similar one. The item must be sent back to me at your cost.
I want customers to be fully satisfied with their purchase, and have their items arrive in one piece.
