From Heart to Art: A Tale of Mascot Love and School Spirit
Alright, picture this heartwarming tale: about a year ago, after a day filled with designing corporate marketing and branding materials (I've been doing this for a whopping 20 years now), it dawned on me that our wedding anniversary was just around the corner. You see, every year, I make it a mission to craft something special and unique for my husband. But this time, my creative well was running a bit dry.
But then, an idea struck me like a block of Wisconsin cheese - my hubby is an absolute fanatic for the Wisconsin Badgers! I had never gifted him anything Badger-related before. So, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work, creating a unique artwork featuring their mascot, Bucky Badger.
But hold on, here's the twist. I also got inspired to illustrate my beloved Kansas Jayhawk, embracing our shared affection for both mascots. I came up with the idea to draw both mascots in iconic poses that really capture the essence of what makes their alumni and students so special. Plus, I thought it would be a fantastic addition to our game room, displaying both mascots in all their glory!
