Outstanding reproduction. Buy from this merchant.

An excellent, well made instrument. You can find Gunter’s instructions online, and if you can decipher 17th century textbooks, it is a very useful piece. The one thing that I would have liked is a divot on the hinge piece. As it is, you kind of have to guess at where zero is. Regardless, I would still recommend this item 100%.

The astrolabe is magnificent, and both the materials and the craftsmanship are meticulous. We had numerous exchanges with Master Terebrus to customize this instrument: he gave us plenty of explanations regarding how to use the astrolabe, as well as the manufacturing process and its steps. We are extremely happy to now own this master[terebrus]piece.

This is a fantastic, working instrument! This is my favorite of all the items Vsevolod has built for me, and I look forward to putting it into use!

Master Terebrus stands out amongst specialists creating faithful reproductions of antique scientific instruments. His craftsmanship is outstanding. In addition, he chooses to copy items that are of clear scientific interest as well as aesthetically pleasing. My highest recommendation.

Highly recommended. Excellent service and an outstanding product in every respect, both for its implicit historical sensitivity and for the precision with which the instrument has been crafted, without a doubt!

As usual, the quality of the instrument is absolutely exquisite. This is legitimately museum quality reproduction work, and a pleasure to own and use! I asked Master Terebrus for an e-mail copy of the manual in PDF, and it arrived within seconds of my sending the request. Now, you can't ask for better than that! This is my 24th instrument from this maker, and they are all my most treasured possessions because of historical accuracy, construction quality, usability, and so much more! It arrived safely, and in excellent condition, as always! Thank you again, Master Terebrus, for all your efforts in providing these ancient treasures to our modern world, and discerning users and collectors, worldwide!

This is a very good, well made instrument. I look forward to using it with the parallel ruler I bought from this same seller for chart plotting in traditional navigation.

The astrolabe is a masterpiece of beauty, precision and excellent workmanship. It is historically accurate, yet the celestial coordinates have been adjusted to their current values, so that it is useful as well as beautiful. It exceeds my expectations.
