How it all began.
When my daughter was little, she would like to play dress up and wear lots of play jewelry which usually didn't last long. One day my Mom and I took our weekly trip to Joann fabric's and a lady was doing a demonstration on wire jewelry. I was fascinated by it and wanted to try it. Having two small kids, money was kind of tight. However, my Mom decided to surprise me and buy my first starter kit.
My Mom is who I can honestly say without a doubt I got my artistic ways from. When I was little, she would either be at our dining room table sketching pictures, making trees out of copper wire, or working on sewing and embroidery. She even at one time dabbled in the whole fancy egg painting. My Mom raised me to believe if I put my mind to it, I can do it.
So when the kids were down for the night I used that time to practice and found it very relaxing and enjoyable. I mainly at that time made jewelry for my Mom and daughter. My daughter Brook was my muse on most of my early pieces. As she got older, she began to wear her pieces to school and her friends would ask where she got them and if I could make them one.
