5 out of 5 starsI cannot recommend the Haven Sofa Bed or this shop highly enough! I was looking for very specific dimensions ($60" \times 80"$) to fit my space and guest needs, and David was incredibly helpful in making that happen. Even though it wasn’t a standard size, he coordinated with the production team to accommodate my request and even included the extra length at no additional charge.The customer service was top-notch from start to finish. David was extremely responsive, sent out fabric samples quickly so I could choose the perfect ivory woven texture, and kept me updated throughout the production and shipping process. He even provided a helpful unboxing guide and helped me troubleshoot the cushion assembly after it arrived!The sofa itself is beautiful and high quality. 1 out of 5 starsDo Not Buy this couch. I thought I bought a proper sofa for $1600+ but this is something I'd expect to see in a college kid's dorm room or frat house for an 8th of the price. It's a couple of foam blocks packed into fabric. The fabric is wrinkled, the cushions are ill fitting, the arms are unstable and bend outward when you rest your arm on them, and it's uncomfortable to boot. Not sure what furniture this store features in its ads but it's not their product. Wish I could return for a full refund. And the sofa bed isn't even attached so your guests will get to deal with their "bed" coming apart all night long. If I hadn't spent so much on this, It would probably be sitting out on the curb as trash and I'd start over with another shop but it was so pricey I have to try and make this mess work somehow.

May Lee Design is a family-rooted furniture studio blending Hong Kong legacy craftsmanship with modern design from our Newark, New Jersey workspace. Every piece reflects our multigenerational heritage — thoughtful, durable, and timeless.
2. How are our sofas shipped?
Most of our sofas use modern compression foam technology. This allows us to carefully compress and ship them in a more compact box without compromising quality or comfort. Once unpacked, the sofa will expand to its full shape within 24–48 hours.
3. Can I customize the color or fabric of my sofa?
Yes! Most of our sofa designs are fully customizable. You can choose from our curated selection of high-quality performance stretch fabrics in a wide variety of colors, designed to look elegant while supporting the compression shipping process. If you’d like fabric samples before placing your order, just send us a message — we’d be happy to help.
4. How long will it take to receive my order?
Each piece is made to order.
- Production time: Approximately 7-14 days (depending on fabric and model).
- Shipping time: 1–2 weeks within the U.S.
We’ll keep you updated every step of the way so you know exactly when to expect your piece.
5. Where do you produce your furniture?
Our designs are developed and tested in Newark, NJ, and produced through our longstanding family manufacturing partners in Hong Kong. These workshops have worked with our family for decades, allowing us to combine heritage craftsmanship with modern production methods — ensuring both quality and scalability.
6. Are the sofas easy to set up?
Yes! No tools or complicated assembly required. Simply remove the sofa from the box, unwrap it, and let it expand. Minor adjustments to cushions may be needed, but setup takes only a few minutes.
7. How do I care for the fabric?
We use durable, performance-grade upholstery designed to hold up to everyday living. Most fabrics can be spot-cleaned with mild soap and water. For specific fabric care instructions, refer to the guide included with your order or contact us.
8. What is your return policy?
Because each sofa is made to order, returns are accepted only in cases of damage or manufacturing defects. If there’s an issue, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos, and we’ll work with you to make it right.
