Why May Tree Design?
Hi there, I'm Alice - owner, designer and sole employee of May Tree Design :)
So, there's a lot that's influenced my business, to start simply with the name...
My middle name is May after my late grandmother. I love this name and after losing her in 2019 I thought it would be a lovely reminder of her and the name we share.
Then, my mother's maiden name is Tree, hence May Tree. I've always thought this is so unusual and have thought about legally adding this into my name - so this is a start!
Then Design is to try to encompass everything I do and want to do in the future. I have so many ideas and have only just started out (from September 2020) so there will be lots more to come...
Over my career so far I've learnt so much, gained a lot of experience and I'm trying to put this to good use now! I've always wanted to do something on my own and after this year (2020) I decided to take the leap and make it work.
I've worked designing gifts for Lush Cosmetics Ltd, designed products for Hobbycraft, The Works and lots more! I've worked in studios, designed prints, patterns and packaging and have project managed internationally. My dream now is to grow my little business and make ranges of high quality gifts, stationery and decor to bring a little bit of joy to each and every customer!
I love simple, bold designs, bright colours and anything that makes me smile :)
