Suppongo che il nostro più grande USP sia l'unicità in quanto, per la maggior parte, gli oggetti che troverai qui tendono ad essere una tantum, ma a volte possiamo trovare qualcosa di simile o nello stesso spirito.
Siamo specializzati in gioielli in argento e amiamo tutti i periodi e gli stili, vittoriano, edoardiano, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, brutalista, minimalista, metà del secolo e moderno, con particolare attenzione alla stranezza.
Consideriamo ogni pezzo un narratore storico e non un piccolo miracolo per essere sopravvissuti fino ad oggi.
La maggior parte dei gioielli MeanGlean è As Found, il che significa che amiamo la patina, la ruggine, gli agenti atmosferici naturali e l'invecchiamento. Qualsiasi lavoro che il tempo e l'uso hanno messo, siamo qui per questo, quindi aspettatevi imperfezioni affascinanti, poiché le consideriamo la prova di una ricca esistenza.
Riprendiamo anche qualsiasi oggetto vintage o antico che possa prestarsi a gioielli e creiamo nuovi pezzi Unici. Amiamo intasare insieme pezzi di catene spezzate per creare un composito o collezionare ciondoli a tema per raccontare una storia tramite un braccialetto. Abbiamo anche un debole per l'arte indossabile e gli oggetti multiuso; se possiamo avere una bella collana che può anche sbucciare la frutta, allora siamo gioco.
Una forte spinta per noi è il desiderio di ridurre, riutilizzare e riciclare, non solo per il gioiello stesso, ma anche per il packaging e la confezione regalo. Usiamo tutti i tipi di materiali pre amati, tutti puliti e carini, quindi probabilmente otterrai qualcosa di diverso ogni volta, ma ogni volta avrà lo stesso tocco MeanGlean :)
Ci sforziamo di evitare la plastica il più possibile, abbiamo anche trovato un buon sellotape a base vegetale e siamo al settimo cielo.
Quando acquisti da MeanGlean stai comprando non solo un piccolo pezzo di Storia, ma anche dando loro una seconda vita e, quindi, aiutandoci nella nostra missione di salvare il mondo!

Hello and Welcome to MeanGlean
Running a Zer0 Waste operation here. MeanGlean trades in vintage, antique, and repurposed jewellery and accessories.
I suppose that our biggest USP is Uniqueness as, for the most part, the items you will find here tend to be one off's, but sometimes we can find something similar or in the same spirit.
We specialise in silver jewellery, and we love all periods and styles, Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Brutalist, Minimalist, Mid Century and Modern, with an emphasis on Quirkiness.
We consider each piece an historical story teller and no small miracle for have surviving to this day.
Most MeanGlean jewellery is As Found, meaning that we love patina, rust, natural weathering and ageing. Any work that time and use has put in, we are here for it, so do expect charming imperfections, as we consider them to be evidence of a rich existence.
We also repurspose any vintage or antique item that might lend itself to jewellery and we create new One Of A Kind pieces. We love clobbering together pieces of broken chains to make a composite, or collecting themed charms to tell a story via a bracelet. We also have a soft spot for wearable art, and multi-purpose items; if we can have a beautiful necklace that can also peel fruit, then we are game.
A strong drive for us is the desire to reduce, re use, and recycle, not only for the jewellery itself, but also the packaging and gift wrapping. We use all kinds of pre loved materials, all clean and pretty, so you will probably get something different each time, but every time it will have the same MeanGlean touch :)
We endeavour to avoid plastic as much as possible, we even found a good plant based sellotape and we are over the moon about it.
When you buy from MeanGlean you are buying not only a small piece of History, but also giving them a second life and thus, helping us on our mission to save the world!
