Tax Day. And if I can judge by the pollen count, it is definitely and for sure spring. My several indoor cats spend longing hours at the back screen door, casting murderous glances at the pair of cardinals that like to hang out there while scavenging nesting material. The wildflower crop is a little thin this year--it's been pretty dry here in N TX--but still, the roadsides are sparkling with color, and up close, the flowers are full of bees and other industrious pollinators.

The birds and the bees are a nice reminder of why, regardless of what's going wrong in the world, springtime is always a reminder to rejoice in every beautiful detail of life.

I was thrilled to come across hand crafted, artisan pieces in a sea of mass produced cat charms being sold by multiple Etsy shops. These are true little pieces of art.
