How Memoriam Came To Be
After graduating from Widener University in 2010, Kyle Fricke joined his family business, Fricke Memorials, established in 1946 by his grandfather and expanded by his father. The business, renowned for quality memorials, faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, Kyle shifted to operations management, a role that became crucial to the company.
By 2021, with supply chain issues affecting the industry, Kyle innovatively decided to import stones directly from overseas, starting with a successful order from China. This move introduced new colors and quality standards to the market.
In 2023, he co-founded Long Island Stone Imports, further broadening the family's legacy. His partnership, formed at a stone convention in Orlando, led to the creation of Memoriam, a collaboration with a manufacturer in Pakistan aimed at making a positive impact on the monument industry. Kyle's journey highlights the significance of innovation, perseverance, and collaboration in overcoming challenges.
