Announcement    Welcome!
I am a multimedia artist working in several different mediums so you will find a variety of pieces in my shop. I take commissions for custom portraits of animals, pets and people in paintings, art dolls and sculptures. I would love to work with you to create a unique piece. I hope a visit to my shop inspires daydreaming.

*Due to Covid shipping might be delayed. I will work with you to track your package. Thank you for you patience! If you have any special shipping requests please contact me.

*Printing Info:
My prints and photographs can take up to two weeks to print. I visit my friend's print shop so he can print each piece on an Epsom 7300 Printer with archival inks and papers. This means that we match color, tone, contrast and texture individually so that I am able to make sure each print comes out as I intend it to. I like to support the local business in my Village and this is part of the cost and care included to each of my prints.

*Returns:
I don't accept returns or exchanges but if you are unhappy with your art or you haven't received it please contact me and I will do my best to correct the situation.

*About my Art:
I have been making all kinds of art since I was a little girl under the patient guidance of my sweet artist Mother, Annie. Art is magic to me because it provides an escape to create my own reality. I grew up in the country playing with my twin and younger sisters and caring for all kinds of animals. Nature, Fairy Tales, Folklore, Myths and the Pre-Raphaelite Arts are the big themes in my work. I've been fortunate to have studied abroad in Mexico, Greece and England which has inspired a love of ancient art and multiculturalism that is reflected in my work. I believe we are all more alike than we are different so I try to learn to understand. I also love antiques & vintage clothing which I use to fashion costumes and environments in my photographs where the different characters I create can live.

Best,
Merle

Merle Pace~"Magpie-Tinkerer"

I grew up in the country with my identical twin sister, younger sister and all kinds of animals. Our parents taught us how to make everything we needed from the functional to the whimsical by following the traditions of our ancestors. My Dad gave me his 1969 manual Pentax Film camera when I was a teenager and figuring out how to use it opened a mystical portal to another world of endless possibilities for me. Art of all kinds is magic to me because it provides an escape and a way to create my own reality. Fairy Tales, Folklore, History and the Pre-Raphaelite Arts are the big themes in my work. After working with Artifacts in Museums, I now create my own work inspired by my love of handmade pieces that hold deep significance for the people who create and cherish them.

I like to work in several art mediums to keep from getting burned out. I focus on photography, self-portrait photography, printmaking, painting, art dolls and fine beadwork jewelry. I'm mostly self taught and enjoy figuring how things work on my own though this is usually a long and trying process!

I love antiques and vintage clothing which I use to fashion the costumes and environments where the different characters I create can come alive. I live in an 100 plus year old Gothic Revival home with my dear family of 4 black cats who I rescued as feral kittens. They include Pascal Jean Paul Jean Paul, Tobias Greenmoss Lang, Sister Blackberry Bijou and Glastonbury Mister Baby. I love storytelling, swimming, naps and the color turquoise!

Merle Pace
