#91 Keep calm & cross stitch with "MIYAStitch"
#91 Embroidery has always been something I love to do and I’ve used just about every pattern on the market to practice my craft. I’ve always loved how quickly patterns allowed me to complete a design - one or two evenings relaxing in front of the TV watching my favourite show and stitching, and I had a brand new piece to display - but I found that all the patterns I was using, while good, weren’t quite right. Too often the design, symbols, and sequencing of stitches lacked logic and the colour transitions were harsh and unflattering. I had to spend extra time modifying designs that should have been ready to use, and eventually I just decided to make my own.
Taking into consideration my needs as an artist and end user, I developed patterns that are easy to use and feel intuitive, with subtle colour transitions that give the finished work a polished look. Designing a product for myself that put my needs as an artist first allowed me to fully focus and genuinely enjoy the process of creating from start to finish.
Of course, I couldn’t keep this a secret, which is why I decided to share my embroidery patterns online - first on VK and Facebook, then Instagram, and, of course, Etsy. I love sharing the art of my online friends and clients, who inspire me to constantly challenge myself creatively and come up with designs they will love to work with. I hope you enjoy using my patterns and share your masterpieces with me and the online family!
