I fell in love with rocks when my parents took me to the Blue John Mines in Castleton, Derbyshire, after a tour of the mine we had a picnic outside and I went exploring and found a chunk of Blue John, sadly I lost it many years ago but I never lost my love for natural rocks and gemstones. What does the word eKiM mean on my logo, simple it's MiKe backwards.
I rarely use treated gemstones, oiling, heat and irradiation are accepted treatments in the gemstone industry mainly used to intensify colour. I will always say if a gemstone is treated even with heat.
All my Pearls are cultured natural colours from Pink to Peach, Lavender to Purple, but as with all white Pearls they bleached because in their natural state they are a cream colour.
My Jades are Type A which means 100% natural.
I only use 925 Sterling silver and pure copper, occasionally I use Argentium Silver which is 935 Silver, meaning it contains more silver. Everything else is the best quality from glue to silk thread.
f you want a cheaper product which may be dyed, manmade or a cheaper stone like Aventurine called Jade, please shop elsewhere because you will not find any in my shop.
I reuse any packaging that I receive but when I use new it is plastic free, all items will be sent to you with care and all silver items with an anti tarnish cloth. Many of my gemstones have a certificate of authenticity and I will supply you with details of the stones, if my suppliers don't send me a certificate I will let you know and supply my own guarantee , but you can rest assured I that only buy from recognised wholesalers and independent gemologists.
Finally postage is always included in the price. I hope you get as much pleasure wearing my jewellery as I get from making it.
