Everything you see in my shop is hand made . i carve my originals in wax and cast them . i have been a jeweler for 45 years and have made just about everything . i am happy now to be making these animals based on my bronze sculptures . i finish each item to perfection and the gemstones i use are top quality, selected for their color and brilliance . if you don't see the animal you want here i am happy to discuss making something new ...just leave me a note...ABOUT THE "IN STOCK NUMBERS"... they don't reflect what is actually in stock because I make each item to order . if the item has a choice of eye and finger color. Etsy multiplies the number of different eye colors times the number of finger sizes so if I have 9 different sizes and 6 different colors Etsy says I have 54 rings in stock . and if it's says out of stock in your size its probably wrong so just send a message to me if you get an out of stock message

my mom got me started making jewelry when i was in junior high . she had taken a class in making silver shadow box jewelry and showed me how to do it, soon i was making elaborate bracelets sawing out eagles for the overlay design. when i got to the university of new mexico i took a jewelry class and that led me to the gemological institute of america where i received my formal training . i worked for a few jewelry stores before i struck out on my own. for 30 years i did high end custom gold and gemstone jewelry for clients in santa fe NM. during this time i also made larger bronze animal sculptures and eventually merged the animal designs with the jewelry to make what you see here in the shop . jewelry as art has to have a sense of balance and flow combined with meticulous craftsmanship to be compelling . i hope you see something compelling here ....michael
