Happy New Year!

This year will be really busy, between doing 9 pen shows (pretty much the same ones we did this year), and preparing to move.

I am closing up pen repairs for a while - between pen shows and some increasing arthritis, I don't want to offer repairs that I may not be able to complete in a reasonable time.

The shop will be closing sporadically during March - 3 pen shows and a little travel. April should see more pens up for sale in the shop.

I am planning to start selling parts in 2026, for those pen enthusiasts that are interested in taking on their own repairs.

Hopefully, I will have a lot of what you have come to expect, and some new things to offer. One project I have is the conversion of Parker 51 pens to cartridge/converter fill. Stay tuned...

The pens I offer are generally not rare or valuable collection pieces. I restore and sell pens that look nice, write well, and are in good shape. It is my goal to bring the fun of fountain pens to people. Once you enjoy these pens, that may lead you to more expensive and collectible pens. On occasion, I will try to bring some of those types of pens to you.

And...if you ever have a problem with a pen you've purchased from me, let me know before doing anything else. Either I will resolve the issue at no cost, or I will issue a full refund, no questions asked.

How I got here

Several years ago, I had decided that my handwriting had gotten just plain awful. I thought I would try using a fountain pen to try and slow my writing down, and get some legibility back. Then...I decided to get myself a really nice pen, but it had a problem. I sent it to someone for fixing. I paid them some money, and when I got the pen back, it still wouldn't take ink.
It was then that I decided to learn how to repair pens for myself. I discovered that I enjoyed working on pens more than collecting them. So, MidnightPens was born. I am always trying to learn and expand my knowledge, and I hope it shows in the pens that I offer.
My pens are for those who enjoy writing first, and collecting pens second. It's my hope that you will enjoy the pens I sell enough to seek out more, and maybe look at those really beautiful, expensive collectible pens that we like to drool over.
