Fairy tales and art have always played a large role in my life. When I wasn't studying Brian Froud's books of mystical creatures, I was drawing some myself. I discovered how passionate I was about art and creativity at a very young age. Since then, I have tried to nurture that passion and share it with others.
As I grew older, I retained my deep love for art. I have dabbled in everything from sewing to painting to dancing. There isn't a style or type of art that I wouldn't like to try. Still, there are only three things I always come back to once everything else is put away - fairies, drawing, and writing.
Somehow a large pile of candles I had made and didn't know what to do with and a similar box of fairy crowns came together to become Midsummer Moon. I felt like I had to share them with the world so I started an Etsy shop. That continued to grow and now I show my wears at festivals all over the Southern United States.
When I am not sitting at my desk writing my own fairy tales or reading, I am in the studio my dad helped me convert from an old shed in the backyard. Once I step through the door of that magical place, I enter a world where all the creatures and stories in my imagination come to life. You might find me there at the drawing table, making fairy crowns or pouring candles with a little borrowed pixie dust.
