Hi, I’m Militsa – mum of two and the creative heart behind Mila Art Lab.
Originally I come from Bulgaria, from a beautiful Vienna-inspired city on the river Danube. Today my family and I are building our dream in England.
For more than 10 years I worked in logistics in a food production company in Telford. After a decade of dedication, I was promoted to Logistic Cost Specialist. It was an important step in my career, but after becoming a mum I realised something inside me was slowly changing. What I wanted most was more time with my family, more flexibility in my days, and the chance to follow the creative passion that had always lived quietly inside me.
My husband Yordan had already started his Etsy shop, ColorVibePrint, where he creates unique clipart illustrations. When I began helping him with ideas, research and creative direction, we quickly discovered how much we enjoyed building something together. During that time a new idea appeared — to use our own clipart to create invitations and designs for life’s most joyful family celebrations.
And this is how Mila Art Lab came to life.
Every design you see in our shop is created by us with great attention to detail, from the first idea to the final product.
Most of my designs are created while the kids are at nursery, during every nap time, very early mornings, and many late nights when the house finally becomes quiet. My husband works beside me in those hours too. What started as a small creative idea slowly grew into something much bigger — a true family project we are building together with patience, passion and many cups of late-night coffee.
At home we have our two little inspirations: a 3-year-old princess and a 1-year-old little wild adventurer who fill our days with laughter, chaos and endless love. Watching them grow reminds me how meaningful birthdays, baby milestones and family celebrations really are.
Our biggest dream is to grow Mila Art Lab into a full-time family business — something we build with our own hands and hearts. A small creative studio where we can work together every day, be present for our children as they grow, and continue creating designs that become part of other families’ happiest celebrations and memories.
Every invitation, printable and artwork we create is one small step toward that dream.
