All is Vanity by Charles Allen Gilbert. A life sized copy of this painting hung in the office where my aunt worked. It was both scary and mesmerizing. When I saw it in your shop I had to get it for my gothic cottage. Can't wait to hang it. Thank you it looks just as spooky in 1:12 scale!

It is spooky--so Victorian. I remember a print of "Hope" from 75 years ago in my parents' dining room. Those things make impressions we never forget. Thanks for sharing your memory; I know you'll enjoy the picture in your cottage. I'd love to see a photo.

My workshop is a table in my hobby room, cluttered with punches, scissors, wire, paper, paint and glue.
Stamps, wood and more glue = dollhouse pictures. Make them square!
Rich: the woodworker and jar opener. (Update: Rich is older and wiser now.)
Duncan surveys our little world. (Update: Duncan lived almost 18 years. He is sadly missed.)
Jamie is no help in the shop. In fact, he interrupts, demanding play time. (Update: Jamie is gone now--so sad.)

My Life on Etsy

I have been interested in miniatures since childhood. Luckily I'm an early riser because there's always something to do in my messy workroom. I use lots of paper, paint, glues of different kinds, tools like tweezers, miter cutter, brushes. I like fabric, stamps, cigar boxes, and anything that sparkles. Now that I'm retired I can spend hours and hours on my projects. Come see what I made. . . .
