Collecting Fashion from the Past
Hello! My name is Amanda & I started Mint Threads in 2013. At 18 years old, and not even 6 months of college under my belt, I decided I wanted to be my own boss and open an Etsy shop.
I started out by listing just a handful of vintage pieces because I only had $20 to start with. I figured hey, I'm okay with risking $20 because if I fail, I will have only wasted my time and a small amount of money. I was so excited when I got my first sale one month later, a black & white plaid sweater, that will forever be in my memories. I decided to take my profits from that piece and expand my shop and invest into a few other items. Another what seemed like long month later, my second sale came in. I was shocked because I was starting to think that maybe someone just wanted to give me my first sale and then I wouldn't be able to sell anything else from then on. Boy was I wrong because the very next day, I sold two more pieces. From that day, I was consistently selling a few pieces a week to then becoming the business we are now with over 25,000 sales 10+ years later.
I would not still be my own boss had I not had such wonderful customers who have came back time and time again. I promise to improve every year and strive to provide you, my customers, a better experience each time you purchase. We hope to be around for the long haul and we couldn't have done it without YOU!
