I have always been an artist and have always loved making things. I had my first art fair when I was 4 and learned how to draw spiders. I hung up the drawings in my room and sold them for 10 cents each! My friends and I would also make friendship bracelets and keychains from gimp and sell them on the block for 25 cents! I studied fine art and graphic design all throughout high school and college and began working professionally as a graphic designer. I found that my passion was working with my hands and began doing art shows with paintings. I love the challenge of trying a new project and enjoyed making smaller pieces that are more accessible to a broader range of people.
When you are an artist/crafter, your friends will ask you "can you make this?" quite often. My friend Kayla asked me to make her a Halloween mask one year and that is how I created my first owl mask! After I put it on Etsy, I had so many different custom orders and I greatly enjoy the challenge of a new project. I will say yes to a custom order and start researching and planning to figure it out, which makes each mask a unique and special piece.
