Comencé Mixed Plate hace unos siete años mientras todavía vivía en Hawai. En ese momento, estaba en las primeras etapas de pasar de vender mis joyas en consignación en tiendas locales a crear mi propio sitio web para mi línea. Rápidamente me di cuenta de cuántas personas de pequeñas empresas estaban tratando de vender sus productos con un presupuesto limitado. Los dólares de publicidad son escasos cuando usted es propietario de un negocio independiente. Quería mostrar mi amor y apoyo a los artistas y diseñadores de productos hechos a mano. Y así nació Mixed Plate.

A lo largo de los años he tenido la suerte de haber conocido tanto en línea como en persona a algunas de mis personas creativas favoritas. Y constantemente me inspiro en ellos junto con las cosas simples que encuentro cada día.

Estoy orgulloso de poder mostrar una sincera emoción y alegría al presentar a otros y su trabajo a través de Mixed Plate. Gracias a mi blog, puedo presentar grandes hallazgos al mundo.

Decidí ampliar algo de la felicidad que encuentro en las pequeñas cosas de la vida y crear los artículos en esta tienda. Es solo uno de los muchos proyectos en los que estoy trabajando para Mixed Plate que espero que disfruten.

I started Mixed Plate around seven years ago while I was still living in Hawaii. At that time, I was in the early stages of moving from selling my jewelry on consignment at local shops to creating my very own website for my line. I quickly realized how many small business folks were out there trying to sell their wares on a budget. Advertising dollars are scarce when you are an independent business owner. I wanted to show my love and support of artists and designers of handmade goods. And that is how Mixed Plate was born.

Over the years I have been fortunate enough to have met both online and in person some of my favorite creative people. And I am constantly being inspired by them along with the simple things I encounter each day.

I am proud of being able to show a sincere excitement and joy in featuring others and their work through Mixed Plate. Because of my blog, I am able to introduce great finds to the world.

I decided to expand on some of the happiness I find in the little things in life and create the items in this shop. It's just one of the many projects I'm working on for Mixed Plate that I hope you'll enjoy.
