👋 Hi! My name is Rebekah and I am the owner and artist behind MockingbirdArtist. 👩🎨
My freshman year in college, I heard a sermon that challenged the audience to think about how a Mockingbird reflects and repeats the call around them. As humans, we do the same thing. We are a reflection of the the past, present, and future and each one of us is singing a song that is influenced by our beliefs and behaviors. Viewing myself through this lens, I began to ask myself: What call are you hearing? Who is singing it? What is the message or tune you are repeating? Is it one of love, truth, and hope? Or is it one of discorded verses and empty melodies? With these questions in mind, I began to quiet my heart and tune my ears to the truths of my Creator and follow His call for my artwork to reflect and repeat His song.

Life has taken me many places and all along the way, art has been skill, tool, and a therapy. I hope that my work helps people and tells their stories while reflecting and preserving the beauty of the world around us.
