MY POT STORY STARTS WAY BACK IN 2017 - I started making what I call "message pots" in early 2017. The idea came to me when a co-worker approached holding a coffee mug that said "This is Probably Vodka." I thought, "I could put that on a planter, but instead of vodka, it should say "This is Probably Pot." And so the obsession began...after months of tedious trial & error, late nights & early mornings, I figured out how to perfect my "message pots" and now it's my full time job.
I am constantly innovating, striving to stay ahead of the pack by offering new designs, exceptional quality & thoughtful customer service. We don't ship plants, here's why:
1. Plants don't like the hot, cold & dark conditions presented during shipping and they respond accordingly. They often arrive wilted, missing leaves and sometimes, totally dead, leaving you to go out and buy a plant anyways.
2. Inevitably soil will spill out of the pot during transit leaving you with a mess on your hands when you open the package. Nobody wants that. Speaking of packaging, it takes a substantial amount to ship potted plants, making it impossible to keep costs down. Plus, all that extra packaging goes straight to the landfill (sad)!
3. Every region carries plants that thrive in that specific climate. What blooms in Arizona, probably won't survive in Vermont. Buying plants locally ensures you get a plant that loves where you live.
Bottom line, buying plants locally just makes sense. Your locally sourced plant will thank you by thriving in its new home. And you can be sure your Mod Pot™ arrives neat and tidy and ready for you and your gift recipients to enjoy for a lifetime!

Hi Missy - so glad you loved the pot and yes, our mini succulent pots are small. And as you mentioned, we provide written & visual representations of the size. Any 2.5" succulent fits in the pot with room to grow :)

We shop online just like you and we know it can be tricky which is why we provide so many clear written & photographic sizing references including a picture of the product next to a ruler. Sizing details
Our pots measure 2.1" tall and 3.15" in diameter. We include many (many) size references in each listing including a picture of the pot next to a ruler. Please review any one of our listings for specific, detailed sizing information.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes! We love custom orders. Use the "Custom Pot" listing for more details and to place an order. Wanna make sure we can make your vision come to life? No problem! Message us anytime with questions about custom orders. We promise to respond within 24 hours (but we'll usually respond much sooner).
NOTE that we provide proofs for custom design orders only after the order is placed. We are not able to provide mock-ups or proofs until we have an order from you. Custom design pots are non-cancellable.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Do you offer gift wrapping? No. We do not offer gift "wrapping" BUT we do offer gift packaging. Gift packaging means your pot will arrive in a Mod Pots branded gift box with a cute black ribbon tied around the box. We'll also wrap your pot in clear bubble wrap, add some recyclable shredded paper to fill the box with and include a small information card within the pot. NOTE that our Gift Packaging does not include a wrapped box. Because of the large amount of handling that occurs during shipment, too often the wrapping paper gets crinkled or smooshed looking. So we prefer to use a simple, but pretty Mod Pots gift box with a sophisticated black & white ribbon wrapped around the gift box.
