Absurdly wide, even for a cinquedea. Heavy and unwieldy. I would have preferred a traditional handle. It was my original intention to rehandle it, but the blade is so stupid that there is really no point. The fluting is nice, accurate and well spaced. That is something most makers get wrong, but they do not have double the space to work in.

The sword so far seems to be very solid and sturdy. Mine comes in at 44 oz, the point of balance is included in the picture. While the sword is slightly heavy, and beefy (as befitting a military sword) I find it very easy to manipulate. I do find the handle to be slightly long, although I do have smaller than average hands. I would also note that while the description states that it will be shipped from california, mine actually was shipped from the UK. Overall I would recommend the sword to someone looking for a military style shashka, and that doesn’t mind that it will be shipped from the UK.

The positive, blade is well designed with features one would expect from a sabre. It is not simply a sharpened bar of steel. The handle appears genuine horn and the sheath is quality leather. Unfortunately the grip is both too long and too thick. Unless you have excessively large hands it is unwieldly. My biggest complaint is that the blade shows significant twist along its longitude. It did not ship as promised and had to prompt the seller several times to get updates. It is well put together but will only serve as a wall hangar as the twisted blade especially will not make it a good cutter.

Item is good but the title is a bit misleading as it is not a longsword (double check description if you're me, its only a meter long).. HOWEVER the quality is superb and makes up for it as this is not really decorational ;) I do have one conplaint and that is that the sword came all covered in grease, it was easily cleaned on the sword but not on the scabbard and it dirtied it even more :/ but thats fine i bought it for the sword anyways. Seller customer service was amazing and despite the customs making it HELL for me, the sword still came, I dont blame the seller... Another thing that needs noting is the description says it delivers from USA, yet the sellers manufacturer is in Pakistan and it ships from Pakistan, so consider high custom prices (I had to pay 88€) But, the sword is unique, so buy it if you like it.

This sword came hanging out of its box, the cream sheath is filthy with black smudges and the gold accents need to be secured as they are all falling off. The sword isn’t the best quality but not the worst, it’s nicely sharpened and will look good on the wall. The sheath was a complete disappointment though, it just looks cheap and nasty. For the price and prior reviews I was expecting better quality.

Suddenly, things moved quickly—the complaint wasn't in vain. The quality and price are appropriate for the "Trump discount." He still has room for improvement in customer communication. Overall, it's okay so far. I will probably make some purchases from this retailer again. LG Hias

Horrible quality. Not even close to what was shown in the picture. Zero communication. Definitely not a good translation. Stay away.

The delivered sword isn’t even the same as on the pictures!!! It looks aged, the straps aren’t even made properly and are unlike the pictures so you quite LITTERALLY cant wear the sword!! Do NOT recommend.

The sword is absolutely magnificent.

Unfortunately I didn't receive that shashka but something completely different yet was fully reimbursed by ETSY.
