About Modern Printed Matter
Hey you! I'm so happy you're here. It's hard to believe we are in our 20th year of business! I launched my first line of greeting cards in 2005. Initially it was a creative outlet from my Environmental Engineering career, but it quickly became my obsession. Less than a year after it's launch, I quit my day job to run Modern Printed Matter full-time. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made!
Fast forward to today, and hundreds of independent retailers carry our quirky animal themed designs. It's incredibly satisfying to think about the human connections and laughs that have been shared through giving and receiving our cards.

Minimizing the impact my business has on the environment is very important to me. All of our cards and calendars are printed on 100% PCW recycled paper (no new trees). Our greeting cards are paired with 100% recycled kraft envelopes and packaged in biodegradable and compostable clear sleeves that are made from plant material. Our wholesale card orders are bundled in shredded misprints and scrap paper. Whenever possible, we reuse shipping boxes and packing paper. We work with a digital printing company in NY that have been a White Badge partner with TerraPass since 2009. They have purchased over 200 metric tons of Offsets and Renewable Energy Credits.
GIVING BACK
Animals are the inspiration and subject matter of many of my designs. It's incredibly scary to see so many of them edging toward extinction. I am very excited to be partnering with the Center for Biological Diversity to donate 10% of our wildlife calendar sales (our best selling item) annually to help protect endangered species.
