I Can Do All Things
In early 2011 I stumbled upon Etsy while pregnant with my 3rd child. I was searching for items for my baby when an idea struck me. For years I'd been creating crafty things for baby showers, wedding showers, birthday parties and gifts. Why not try my hand at selling goods on Etsy?
I began to design art prints, party supplies and paper goods. It wasn't easy getting my first sale. I spent hours and hours sponsoring giveaways, blogging, setting up and designing items for my Etsy shop.
Things really started to pick up for me shortly after I joined the Etsymom team. They hosted a challenge and I spent hours creating a new item for my shop. The contest was based on the Fall 2011 Pantone Color Palette. While I didn't win the contest, I did manage to create one of the best selling items in my shop, my chevron tags.
Over time I realized that there was a huge opportunity out there if I was willing to create custom products. I really enjoy working with fellow Etsy shop owners, modern brides, and party planners to create one-of-a-kind tags and other paper goods.
While I have always been a successful person, I always held on to a certain amount of doubt about my ability to live up to my potential. Etsy has given me a boost of confidence. I feel there really isn't anything I can't do without a little patience and a lot of hard work. God is good.
I am very grateful to all of my Etsy supporters. Because of you I was able to quit my day job and now work from home alongside my 4 children.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. Have a glorious day!
