A Lifetime of Art & Animals
Hallo! Ich heiße Bre, bin aber online auch unter meinem Künstlernamen Modsecai bekannt. Ich bin 22 Jahre alt und zeichne, seit ich einen Stift halten kann. Bis vor wenigen Jahren habe ich ausschließlich traditionell gezeichnet, mit Graphit, Buntstiften und sogar Aquarell. Meine Muse waren schon immer Tiere. Mit sechs Jahren bekam ich mein erstes Tierzeichenbuch. Und obwohl ich es damals noch nicht ahnte, sollte dieses Buch der Beginn eines lebenslangen künstlerischen Schaffens sein.
Schon als Kind wollte ich unbedingt Pferde und Wölfe perfekt zeichnen können und verbrachte unzählige Stunden damit, das Zeichnen zu lernen. Ich folgte Anleitungen, reichte meine Bilder bei 4-H-Wettbewerben ein und nahm sogar an einigen Kunstausstellungen meiner Schule teil. Mit zunehmendem Alter wuchs mein Interesse an anderen Tierarten. Zu Weihnachten bekam ich eine Tierenzyklopädie geschenkt und las sie komplett. Das war einer der wichtigsten Momente in meiner künstlerischen Entwicklung, denn nach der Lektüre dieses Buches begann ich, mich an das Zeichnen anderer Tierarten heranzuwagen.
Vor allem in den letzten zwei Jahren habe ich begonnen, viel Zeit der Kunst zu widmen. Mir ist bewusst geworden, dass Kunst nicht nur zum Genießen da ist, sondern auch einen Moment einfängt. Dabei geht es nicht nur um mein künstlerisches Talent, sondern auch um das jeweilige Tier, das ich zeichne. Die Geschöpfe und die natürliche Schönheit unseres Planeten einzufangen, ist für mich eine der schönsten Aufgaben, die ich erfüllen kann, und es schenkt mir große Freude und Erfüllung. Ich möchte meine Leidenschaft für Tiere mit anderen teilen.
Da mein Shop im letzten Jahr gewachsen ist, habe ich viel gelernt und möchte ihn weiter ausbauen. Letztes Jahr konnte ich damit beginnen, einen Teil des Umsatzes an den Naturschutz zu spenden – ein Ziel aus dem Vorjahr, das ich mit großer Freude erreicht habe. 2025 habe ich mit meinen Kunstwerken über 50 Dollar für den Naturschutz gesammelt! Dieses Jahr, 2026, hoffe ich, weitere Sticker und vielleicht auch ein paar neue Artikel in den Shop aufnehmen zu können. Ich freue mich schon sehr darauf, weiterhin Kunst zu schaffen und sie mit euch allen zu teilen!

Hello! My name is Bre, but I also go by my artist alias online, Modsecai. I am a 22 year old artist, and I have been drawing since the time I could hold a pencil. Up until a few years ago, I had been doing entirely traditional art. This included graphite drawings, colored pencil drawings, and even some watercolor. My muse for art has always been animals. When I was six, I got my first animal drawing book. And although I didn't know it at the time, this book would be the beginning of a lifetime of making art.
I so desperately from a young age wanted to draw horses and wolves perfectly, and I spent hours upon hours of my time trying to understand how to draw them. I followed tutorials, entered my artwork in 4-H competitions, and even got in a couple art shows through my school. As I aged, my interest in other species of animals increased. I received an encyclopedia of animals for Christmas, and I read the entire book. That was one of the most pivotal moments in my artwork, because it was after reading that book that I began to dabble with drawing other species.
In the last two years especially, I have begun to dedicate lots and lots of my time to creating art. I've realized that art is not only something to be enjoyed, but something that captures a moment in time. Not only necessarily my artistic ability, but whatever animal I am drawing. I think being able to capture the creatures and the natural beauty of this planet is truly one of the greatest things I can do, and it brings me a lot of fulfillment and happiness in doing so. What I want to share with others is animals.
As my shop has grown over this past year, I've learned a lot and would like to continue to expand. Last year, I was able to start donating portions of sales to wildlife conservation, which was a goal from the previous year that I'm very happy to have met. In 2025, my art raised over $50 dollars for wildlife conservation! This year in 2026, I'm hoping to be able to add some more stickers and perhaps some new items here on the shop. I can't wait to continue making art and sharing it with everyone here!
