I chose to open my shop to sell my fine art prints dedicated to projects in support of the environment. The first uploaded series is dedicated to nature. Nature is very often present in all my photographic projects both as a protagonist and as an environment in which to immerse my subjects. It is a common thread of many of my images. I love nature and in my daily life I do everything possible to protect it, choosing a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, often preferring my legs and bicycle instead of the car.

In 2022 does it make sense to choose a subject like nature for a photographic series?
Especially if the subjects are not incredible landscapes such as Caribbean islands, mountain landscapes or digitally enhanced scenes?

Does it make sense to photograph an almost anonymous nature along the banks of a city river?
It makes a strong sense to me and I'll explain why.
I live in a small town in northern Italy, a short distance from the big cities. A small quiet corner where the countryside is still present, although overbuilding lately is increasing here too.

I have always loved living in close contact with nature and taking long regenerating walks and it is during these walks that I began to think that, given the dramatic climatic situation we are experiencing, everything around me could disappear within a few years.

Hence the idea of dedicating a photographic series to nature. To that place that most offers me calm and serenity and where I love to get lost and observe the continuous changes.

Nature is never the same as itself but changes from day to day. It is strong, proud, but so fragile, it takes little to destroy it. With this series I want to pay tribute to her, while we are still in time. We must consider ourselves lucky to be able to enjoy it, but with climate change we cannot take it for granted nor that it will be there for much longer.

I decided to donate a small contribution born from the sale of each print to an Association that protects the environment.

I chose to sell these prints on Etsy because it is an environmentally conscious platform that uses 100% renewable electricity and I chose a printer that is committed to reducing its carbon emissions as much as possible.

Ho creato questo negozio per unire la mia passione per la fotografia alla volontà di fare qualcosa di concreto per l’ambiente. La natura è parte integrante di ogni mio progetto fotografico: non solo come sfondo, ma come protagonista silenziosa e potente. Questa prima serie è un omaggio alla bellezza autentica e spesso dimenticata della natura che ci circonda. Non troverai panorami da cartolina o scenari digitalmente alterati, ma frammenti di natura reale, quella che rischiamo di perdere se non iniziamo a prendercene cura.

🌿 Perché questa serie è speciale?
Vivo in una piccola città del Nord Italia, circondata da campagne e fiumi. Camminando lungo i sentieri, ho realizzato quanto questi paesaggi quotidiani, apparentemente comuni, siano in realtà preziosi. Il cambiamento climatico e l’urbanizzazione minacciano questi angoli di tranquillità, ed è per questo che ho deciso di immortalare la loro essenza, prima che sia troppo tardi.
