Accidental Shopkeeper!
On New Years Days while my wife and son took our grandfather out for some fresh air I decided to continue our spring cleaning. Returning home with some new storage boxes I bumped into the rail of the bridge over the lock where our houseboat in moored. You wouldn't think a small thing that that would have such an impact but I fell backwards and rolled over the edge of the lock landing about 8 feet below. Thankfully a lovely family out for their New Year walk saw me fall and came to my rescue. They called an ambulance and stayed with me until my wife could get home.
Turns out that I manage to fracture my pelvis in three places. Not a great start to the New Year especially for a very busy painter and decorator! A few days in hospital and I was released but told to basically sit still for the next few months. I hate sitting still and doing nothing so out came the sewing machine to make some new bedding for our guinea pigs, then some cat nip toys for the cats and Monkey Pickle was born!
Thankfully the bones are healing now so I have gone back to full time painting again but still love to spend my free time sewing and creating fun new projects.
