From Film making to making Robes

All the robes are cut and stitched by me and my assistants in house in my tiny little workshop. Over the years I have grown to hire a few people to help me cut, stitch, pack and ship to share my work load.
How it all started!
This is a long long tale from very old times..
Actually not :)
I wanted to make dresses from when I was in sixth standard.
So like with most girls, It started with dressing up my dolls.
I had learnt how to stitch starting then.. a lot of my school vacations were spent at this old aunty's beautiful old house, learning how to stitch. and she was so good!!

And then somewhere in the middle, I changed my mind, and decided to learn film making.
Did that, worked hard and mad for a few years..

Then one day, the little girl in me popped up and said.. hello!

So, I bought a sewing machine, and basic tools, put together a work-room, and here I am.. stitching comfortable clothes and spreading happiness, hopefully!

Ruchi designs the patterns and the prints. Replies to convos and takes orders. She also makes and embroiders the robes with the help of Parveen and Jitu. She oversees the product listings and the SEO integration. And is always on her toes.
Ayush

Assistant, Shipper, SEO Manager

Rajvanshi helps in product listings and SEO's.And in the second half of the day, after the robes are checked and packed he books them for pickup and dispatch. He is the most computer savvy person in the team.
Jitu

Assistant, Embroidery Artist, Quality Check

Jitu frames the robes for embroidery and sets them up on the machine. He cleans them and removes excess threads and fusing paper. He is very sound with technicalities. He also Quality Checks the robes before dispatch.
Amit

Assistant, Workshop Manager And Packing

Amit is also fondly called as Babu. He is the workshop manager. First one to come and last one to leave, he makes sure the workshop is clean and ready for the team to start work every day. He fixes faulty taps, plug points and helps in packing.`
Laxman

Cook, Cleaner, Grows Organic Veggies

Laxman comes from a farmer family from Nepal. He is an amazing cook and makes sure the team is well fed. He also grows organic veggies on the workshop rooftop for the team. He goes home for 2 months every year and is sorely missed at that time.
Parveen

Assistant, Cutting, Stitching

Parveen is a skilled multitalented artist. When there is an overload of rush orders, she helps Ruchi cut the robes. She also helps in folding them for packing.
Noor, Aryan, Ahmad

Assistant, Tailor

Standing from the left- Noor, Aryan and Ahmad. They are our skilled tailors and help Ruchi stitch the orders.
Ashok Kumar

Tax, Finance And Paperwork Manager

Ashok Kumar is the eldest and the most qualified person in the team. He has an experience of more than 4 decades as a finance manager. He works part time for us and helps us with our taxes, finances and other paperwork.
