Monstrous Industry began after a chance encounter at the 2007 Buffalo Small Press Fair in which a mysterious bearded gentlemen suggested that etsy would be a prime set for offering the world Monstrous Industry's vision of fine monster-related prints and zines.

Before joining etsy, I led a disreputable, bootlegger's life traveling the old zine/small press fair circuit, tabling for tabling fees and maybe a nice lunch. Afterwards, I continued to ride the circuit, but with more ambitious plans and ideas for what to sell--original drawings, postcards, Moleskines and perhaps, sometime, pendants.

Monstrous Industry continues to use the same hand cut-n-paste, roll and ink methods I learned early on--combining fine art and pop culture detritus to make relief prints of classic monsters and strange poetry-spouting robots and handy Lovecraftian notebooks.
