My drywall job had me looking at the color WHITE all day long, and tie dyeing was a super fun way of brightening life up after work. First started by dyeing all my boring white work shirts & hoodies then co-workers were totally loving the creations and wanted to update theirs as well. This is where the colorful journey started...
A once zenful 2005 hobby slowly became part of everyday life, fast. Passion took over and started dyeing everything white I could get my hands on, learning many valuable and interesting techniques in the process while meeting other dye artists online in groups. Finally in 2009 I made it a small business online, selling on Etsy!
Moon Dyes items are made in small batches with good vibes and bright dyes. Hand tied with artificial sinew or rubber bands and hand dyed with high quality, non toxic & colorfast fiber reactive procion dyes. No sewed or printed creations, the magic's in the pleating and dye placement ensuring your item is one of a kind. This also means that I can't totally control the outcome of this craft when making custom orders. The unexpected art each items becomes will always be unique like all my customers and this is honestly the best part of being a tie dye artist.
