It Started with a Skull.
During lockdown in 2020, I picked up a pen and sketched the Death card from the realm of tarot. Black and white, stippled, simple. I posted it on Instagram and people loved it. They asked if I was making a full deck. I said no. Then came The Wheel of Fortune, then The Devil, and somewhere between the two I said yes.
Two months later I had hand-drawn an entire deck, card by card. Every card drawn by hand with zero digital intervention until the professional scan. I launched on Kickstarter in January 2021 with a funding goal of $5,500 AUD. It funded in 35 minutes, and the pledges kept coming for the entire month-long campaign.
That's how The Wandering Moon Co. began. In November 2023, it became MoonHaus Studio, and I couldn't be happier with that name. It's the type of name that makes me feel at home in my small business.
Over the years, the shop grew to include oracle decks, journals, tarot cheat sheets, printables, plus a section for chronic illness support pages that are genuinely close to my heart.
As a Division 1 nurse and living with fibromyalgia and CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy), creating resources for fellow chronic lifers has meant more to me than I can easily put into words.
In late 2025, I broke my right ankle in three places due to the CIDP and ended up in surgery, followed by six weeks in inpatient physiotherapy rehab. During the second week, I dislocated my left knee.
Two useless legs, one iPad, and plenty of resolve. That’s how I kept the shop running from my hospital bed - shipping orders, creating new products, and hitting 41,100 sales.
During that time I started exploring AI. Like, properly. No more treating it like a slot machine. It was then that everything shifted. My perpetual love of learning and the want to know as much as I can about things went into serious overdrive.
This also kept me sane and focused while I began to accept that I would be remaining in a wheelchair. I had to navigate my life, and the world around me, in an entirely new way and from a brand new perspective.
A few months after coming home, MoonHaus Digital was born. It sits alongside MoonHaus Studio.
Think of it as its tech-focused sister. It’s where you’ll find things like AI and tech how-to ebooks, Claude and ChatGPT guides, prompt packs, web apps, Claude Skills, and tools that give women an edge in using AI + tech to build and grow their online businesses.
I want them to see their digital product ranges expand and evolve, and to realise they don't need a tech background to do any of it.
