I started making wood hair sticks 33 years ago with a small pile of totally handmade singles at the renaissance fair in California, and it went from there. The pile and diversity of items grew and grew, and now I have thousands of items at my shops around the country. ETSY has added a new dimension a few years ago. I think people arent used to the kind of return policy I have. If it breaks or you dont like it, send it back and I will replace it. My hair sticks and crafts tools are made to be used. They are functional and beautiful.
When you get your item, there may be a texture on it from the finish: this is normal for wood. A tiny wipe with an emory board may remove the snag. And it will smooth out with love and use. IF it continues to be a problem, just the send the item back and I will replace it right away.
I have had my business for 39 years now, with a flourishing woods business at Renaissance Faries all across the country. Now with the internet, I am serving the world wide thirst for crafts tools and hair combs. My fairs are going to have to give way soon, and I will be focusing on the internet sales in the next few years, as travel is now impossible for me. Personal tragedy has me almost home-bound, but I can work in my shop!!! I love making people happy with my wooden items, these colorful strong crochet hooks and hand lathe-turned knitting needles by hand with a small lathe machine.
