As always, Morphic's quality is incomparable. Perfect fit. It's really a pity the shop is now closed... :(
Creative Clothing To Express Your Individuality
We're closing down.
Morphic has been an incredible journey and we have immensely enjoyed connecting with you all over the last 8 years. Ever since the earthquakes in our city a few years ago it has become harder for us to support ourselves financially from making clothing.
Having a solid base at the Art Centre really was key to our enjoyment of making clothing. We were able to interact with people on a weekly basis, try out new designs, and be inspired to keep creating. Over the last couple of years we have lost that and it has become less enjoyable.
It is sad to be letting go of what we have built with your help. But we are excited about what the future holds. Halee is planning to study towards a new career and Ray is already working as a freelance graphic designer.
There will be some of you who will be upset by this news and we are really sorry. We haven't made this decision lightly.
We want to give you one last chance to get any Morphic gear you need to see you through. We will be shutting up shop on the 31st of July 2014, make sure to get in touch before then.
Thank you so much for being part of our journey,
Halee Moss & Ray Singer
Morphic is a blend of essential ingredients, carefully cut, printed, tailored and sewn to fit the individual to provide comfort and heaps of good times.
These essential ingredients include: NZ's best locally grown and made natural fabrics; a diverse variety of rich, vibrant and earthy colours and quirky unique designs that give the wearer a distinctive look. These ingredients are combined and refined with Halee's expert sewing skills before being carefully wrapped and shipped off across the world.
Growing up around the family horse cover making factory gave Halee an early exposure to the world of industrial sewing machines and the delights of design. She soon began making her own clothing. Often people would stop Halee in the street, or on the dance-floor and ask her where her unique clothes came from. In this way Morphic Creations began.
On one of those dance-floors during a weekend away, I (Ray) ran into Halee for the first time. By ran into I mean I tripped up and broke my thumb. While applying ice we chatted about life, design and being self-employed. I loved Halee's clothing designs and bought some clothing from her before heading back to design school in Dunedin.
Fast-forward a few years through market stalls and earthquakes to the present... Halee and I live in a lovely little house/clothing studio by the sea. We've got four pretty chickens, one massive vege-garden and an exciting boutique clothing design business that connects us with wonderful people the world over.
PS A little reminder: If you want a special slice of Morphic this Christmas, then now is the time to get in. US, Europe and Australian orders need to be placed by Friday November 30th to ensure they are made and shipped to arrive on time.
Owner, Maker, Designer
Clothing design and creation has been my biggest passion since as long as I can remember. It's both my job and my hobby rolled into one. I live by the sea, grow organic food and love to sing, dance and fly kites.
I live by the sea with the most awesome clothing designer ever - Halee. I do all sorts of fun stuff such as, running our market stall, taking photos of Halee's new designs, and product testing our clothes to make sure they last the distance!

Accepted payment methods
As soon as your order is on its way, we will send you an email to let you know how to track the parcel online and when to expect it to arrive. Your order will usually arrive at the shipping address you provide within the target delivery specified. However, we can’t guarantee this will always be the case. Parcels may be subject to delays due to customs, weather, public holidays or delivery to areas outside major cities.
Your order is tracked until it reaches its destination and a signature is collected on delivery. If no one is there to sign for the parcel, then a card asking the receiver to call and arrange alternative delivery will be left. With this service you must provide a daytime number for the receiver of the package.
If the receiver does not arrange alternative delivery within 5 days of attempted delivery then your parcel will be sent back to New Zealand. If this happens, you will be responsible for the charges incurred sending your parcel back to NZ and then back to you! It would cost heaps and take a long time, so please track your parcel and deal with any queries promptly.
Customs regulations are different for every country. Some will require import duties on delivery of the parcel. Any charges will be the responsibility of the receiver.

Please watch this video to help you take your measurements correctly: http://vimeo.com/23200973 and please include your measurements with your order.
Providing our customers with the right fit is a top priority for Morphic. To achieve this, we need your cooperation. Before you place an order, please get yourself a measuring tape, a friendly assistant and follow these instructions. SELECTING YOUR SIZE
How to choose your size - Tops
Match your measurements to our size chart. If all of your measurements correspond to one size, this is the size we recommend. This will give you a slim fit. If you want a looser fitting garment, choose the next size up. If your measurements do not correspond to one size, you will get the best fit by having a garment custom made for you. However, if you still want to purchase from our ‘Ready to Wear’ range, choose the largest size your measurements correspond to. For example, a woman with a chest of 99cm, waist 78cm and seat 102cm would fit the Size 98. A man with a chest of 97cm, waist 93cm and seat 103cm would fit the Size 102.
How to choose your size - Skirts and Pants
You need to match only your seat and height measurements with the chart to determine which size will fit you best.
MADE TO MEASURE
We have found that around one in every three people will fit their new garment better if it is custom made for them. If you have a unique shape or your measurements do not correspond with our ready to wear sizes, then we would be delighted to make a custom made garment to fit you perfectly.
When ordering ‘Made to Measure’ please include your chest, waist, seat and height measurements and whether you want a slim or medium fit. You do not need to consult our size chart. We may ask you for the following measurements:
5. Sleeve Length - Measure from the armpit, down the inside of a straight arm, to desired length.
6. Neck to Waist - Measure from where your collarbones meet to your natural waistline.
7. Neck to Hem - Measure from where your collarbones meet to desired length.
8. Inseam for Pants - Measure from the crotch, down the inside of a straight leg, to desired length.
9. Dress Length - Measure from the armpit, down the side the body, to desired length.
10. Skirt Length - Measure from area of hip where you plan to wear skirt to desired length.
