4 out of 5 starsI am completely new to macrame and any kind of knot tying and it was frustrating to try this as a first timer. The written and photos were not adequate in teaching me how to do the knot and I had to rely on substituting with YouTube videos. there is one knot referred to in the directions as “double hitch knot” the closest knot I could find with this name was a “half double hitch” I probably agonized over what I supposed to be doing for an hour. I am sure the seller would have given me clarification had I asked but unfortunately I am stubborn and independent. I wouldn’t recommend this pattern for an absolute beginner unless you have some prior experience or you enjoy causing yourself frustration. In the end I was able to make it and with the YouTube videos I even customized it to better suit my vision. Pattern is good!
