HEY, THANKS DAD!
In the early 90’s my son began selling signed pictures of Tiger Woods on eBay. When I commented on that he said, “Mom, you should sell on the internet!”. It was such an exciting idea I jumped in. My love was books. I went to the Goodwill and found an interesting hardbound book for $1.25. I put it in my cart and listed it as soon as I got home. It sold for $289.00. It was an astonishing event. For the next three years I sold over 2,000 books. I met a man in the eBay chat room who also sold books, but he was switching to Etsy. I checked Etsy out and quickly opened my first Etsy shop called “MoxyFoxBooks”. It was a prosperous shop, but the storage of hundreds of books became a problem.
The next step was to open “MoxyFoxDesigns”. My dad was an amazing artist and I inherited his DNA. (Thanks, Dad!) Selling art was very satisfying. Along with my Etsy art shop, I opened “SuzysLoft” and sold beautiful vintage clothing. As you might expect, the storage situation of suits, dresses, silk shirts and classy shoes became overwhelming. We either had to buy a bigger house or close “SuzysLoft”.
I decided just to sell my art and opened “SusanGivensArt”. I had studied art at the University of Washington in Seattle and graduated from Puget Sound University in Tacoma with honors.
Thank you for visiting “SusanGivensArt” shop. I have many styles and subjects to choose from. I offer original paintings and gallery-quality prints. You are always welcome here.
Warmest regards,
Susan
