Hi, I'm Rosilene — and I've been creating with my hands for as long as I can remember.
Growing up surrounded by my mother, grandmother, and aunt, handmade was simply part of life. Sewing, crochet, drawing, painting — creativity was never something I had to learn. It was something I inherited.
For years I worked as a Mechanical Engineer in the automotive industry. Precise, technical, detail-oriented work. And while I loved the craft of engineering, something was always pulling me back to fabric and thread.
It was during my pregnancy that everything shifted. I hand-crafted my child's entire nursery — every detail made with intention and love. What started as a personal project quietly became a new calling.
I left my career to fully embrace that calling. First came nursery décor, then keepsakes, and eventually — cloth dolls. The moment I made my first one, I knew I'd found my signature work. There's something about a handmade doll that carries warmth no machine can replicate.
Today I live in Michigan with my family, creating dolls and designing patterns from my little studio. My patterns are written the way an engineer thinks — clear steps, precise measurements, real photos at every stage — but made the way a maker feels — with heart, care, and joy in every detail.
