"OOH! Something shiny!"
My friends tell me I have a “Raven Complex” because I am always attracted to shiny things. I have been collecting jewelry and sparkly items since I was a child.
When I discovered the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), a Medieval Reenactment group, in the early 90’s, I became enamored of tribal and ethnic costuming, jewelry and dance.
An avid collector of jewelry for years, I didn’t discover the joy of creating jewelry myself until I moved to Tucson Arizona where I was inspired to try by my dear friend, Courtney, who has since Passed. When I work on “the little details” of a piece I remember Courtney’s friendship and instruction as we worked on jewelry together at my dining room table.
I love anything “tribal” or “ethnic”, protective symbols and amulets, mixed metals and beads from far away places; and I have a special love for coin jewelry. I am especially attracted to labradorite and tend to use it in many of my creations. I strive to put things together in unexpected and interesting combinations.
I love making the jewelry even more than I love wearing the finished product; it is relaxing and reviving. I hope you enjoy wearing these as much as I enjoyed creating them.
NOTE: I have coupons set up for people who favorite items and who abandon their carts- but you must make sure your "personalized advertising" setting is set to "ON" in your Etsy settings to receive them. So .. go make sure that's on! Thanks!
