✈️ From a Hobby to Reality: The Creation of the Modular Flight Joystick for VTOL VR ✨
Several years ago, as I delved into flight simulators for the first time, I realized that virtual aviation was more than just a game. It was an opportunity to experience something extraordinary – soaring through the skies, executing combat maneuvers, or simply enjoying a peaceful flight across the horizon. ✨ It was during one of these sessions that a friend and fellow aviation enthusiast suggested, “What if we created a real, physical flight stick? One that could bring us even closer to the cockpit experience?” ✈️
The idea was born but faced immediate challenges. My limited skills in 3D modeling at the time made it impossible to bring the concept to life. Early attempts resulted in clunky prototypes, and eventually, the project was shelved. The dream, however, never completely faded. ✨
Years later, after acquiring the Quest 3 headset, the dream resurfaced. Armed with better tools, improved skills, and a renewed passion, I revisited the concept. Over weeks of dedication, countless tweaks, and iterative designs, the project finally came to fruition. The result is something I'm incredibly proud to share with the world. 🌟
