Exfoliates wonderfully, makes my skin feel smooth and supple, smells fantastic, and leaves my skin feeling nurtured. I've never used a soap that didn't dry out my skin, but this soap is so moisturizing. My skin feels very comfortable afterwards! Will be back for more of this stuff!

Corinne runs Mutable Soap Company in Afton, Virginia, and crafts cold-process soap and salve with seasonal ingredients that nourish and support your skin. She is inspired by the cycles, alchemy, and shapeshifting of our lives and our world.

Rather than focusing on scent-heavy fragrances, she prioritizes skin-loving plants such as calendula, aloe, chickweed, mugwort, oats, and pumpkin. These special ingredients are garden-grown or responsibility foraged whenever possible. Bars of soap are lightly scented but are packed with powerful ingredients that moisturize, protect, and repair.

Mutable soaps are:
- gentle, cleansing, and moisture-rich
- crafted with olive oil, coconut oil, shea or cocoa butter, castor oil, lye, and whole-plant extracts and infusions
- colored with plant-based infusions, powders, or clays
- biodegradable and environmentally friendly
- unscented or lightly scented with essential oils
- always free of fragrance oils, palm oil, and artificial colorants or micas
