As many parents, leaders, and teachers in the world know, I create a FREE packet of Primary Activity Pages each week, that follow the weekly "Come, Follow Me" lesson curriculum from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I've heard from Primary leaders all over the world — Germany, Australia, South Africa, Canada, USA, Ireland, China, Russia — to name a few.

I want to tell you the history of the Primary Activity Pages, and how they came to be.

I've served in Primaries in every capacity — including Primary President, Teacher, as well as pianist and Music Leader — for more than forty years. I've had a hand in raising nine children, and now have 12 grandchildren. Over the years, I've discovered that children learn in different ways, and activity worksheets make learning the gospel fun!

Years ago, while serving in an Ohio ward as a Primary teacher (Valiant 9 class), I created a one-page "Valiant Newsletter" each Sunday after church, printed them, and mailed them to each child in our class. Parents told me how much they loved the newsletters and that they saved them for their children to use during Sacrament Meetings, to help them focus on thinking of the Savior. During years of teaching Primary, I expanded the newsletter to include many pages of activities and coloring pages. Sometimes younger Primary children told me, "Sister Reinhardt, we can't wait to be in your class so that we can get your newsletters in the mail!"

In 2018 we moved from Ohio to Texas. The Lord called me to serve as a Primary teacher in my new ward. As before, I created weekly newsletters and mailed them to a whole host of new Primary children, eager to learn the gospel of Jesus Christ. By then, I had renamed the newsletter to "Primary Newsletter" so that I could use it for any class.

In 2019, I was released as Primary teacher and called as Primary President! I had a choice to either continue my Primary Newsletter, or not. I couldn't rationalize printing and mailing over 100 newsletters each week — but wanted to somehow reach the children. So, I decided to host the newsletter on my Google Drive and post a link for it on our ward's Facebook group — putting the option of printing it onto the parents.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic in 2020, we stopped meeting for in-person Primary. Yes, I was the Primary President of the Pandemic! I am a member of a Facebook group for Primary Presidencies, and I saw the need to reach children digitally, since the world could not meet in person. On August 1, 2020, I posted in that Facebook group for the first time and shared the link to my Primary Newsletters in my Google Drive.

The response was immediate and massive.

Since then, I've continued making newsletters each week, sharing the link in the Facebook group. I was released as Primary President in August 2021. I was no longer serving in Primary, so decided I wouldn't continue making the Primary Newsletter. Then, I received many private messages imploring me to continue. Until then, I was unaware how my Primary Newsletter had impacted the lives of children worldwide. It was then that I decided to change the name from "Primary Newsletter" to "Primary Activity Pages" — since that is what they are.

What was once a simple, one-page Valiant newsletter has now grown to the weekly Primary Activity Pages packet you now see, reaching from my small desk in Saginaw, Texas, across the world to Europe, Australia, Africa, and other places unknown to me.

One sister in Europe messaged me to say:

"Receiving [these] from you is so wonderful! Multiply that by thousands because our Primary children are using your activity sheets to teach in their homes each and every week. That helps build testimonies which will strengthen them as they face their teen years, marry and raise children of their own. So thank you from me and from all of those who we feel but cannot see..."

So, to all of you who I cannot see, but can feel, I hope that you enjoy my Primary Activity Pages and that they help teach the children in your care more about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
